La Jolla California is located just north of Pacific Beach and is
about 15 minutes northwest from downtown San Diego.
La Jolla meaning “The Jewel” in spanish is one of the most upscale
coastal communities in Southern California boasting some of the

La Jolla has a more rocky and patchwork style of beaches going from
Birdrock and Windansea Beach at the south end to La Jolla Shores at the north end where you get a beach more than 6 blocks in length.
La Jolla has some of the most famous and well known resorts and hotels
in the country including The La Valencia Hotel, which was a hang out for hollywood stars starting back from the early 1940’s and 50’s.

La Jolla is well known for having seals that hang out at The La Jolla Childrens Pool, pelicans at La Jolla Cove, Sunny Jim Cave and La Jolla Cove which is an underwater ocean reserve with hundreds of different fish and ocean creatures that divers and kayakers can enjoy. There are plenty of places to rent kayaks in La Jolla Shores to go watch some of the leopard sharks and sealife.
The restaurants in La Jolla are also amazing and offer a wide variety of cuisine and a spice of nightlife. Dress to impress at George’s at the Cove, Jack’s, Pasquale’s or any of the other great restaurants or go casual at places
like The Spot or Jose’s restaurants and spots bars.
