A new reality tv show called “PB Reality” is showcasing
the lifestyle of San Diego millionaire Jim Lawlor and
group of “Angels” as they throw some extravagent
parties. The show is starting to run “behind the scenes”
videos on their website
Reality TV series have showcased a lot of real life scenarios
featuring a wide range of situations and peeple but very few
if any can compare to the wild and luxurious lifestyle of San Diego
millionaire Jim Lawlor and hos group of “PB Angels” as they plan
out some extravagent parties and social events from his Pacific
Beach castle of a home and also in some of the most popular
nightclubs in the area.
The “PB Reality” TV show has begun to run “behind the scenes”
clips as Lawlor and his angels prepare to hit the airwaves in late
summer or fall. The reality show features Lawlor’s lifestyle as a
successful business person and bachelor and his relationship
with four inspired young women who work with him while
pursuing their dreams of becoming a singer, actress, model and
successful student at San Diego State University. Along the way
there are some funny and sometimes wacky scenes as the angels
cast sexy models for parties and events, along with the events
themselves.
Nothing is spared when it comes to putting on an event and
that includes hiring limo buses, bartenders, film crews,
photographers, cooks, valet parking, live DJ music and
modeling talent along with great food, drinks and party decorations.
The PB Castle
All of this takes place in what is referred to as “The PB Castle”,
a home that Lawlor converted into a castle styled them.
The “Castle” is decorated for events including New Years,
The Super Bowl, Valentines Day, St. Patricks Day and other
holidays and the Angels do their best to stock the party
with some of the sexiest swimsuit models to keep the party
rocking. All of this makes for some great drama and action
as the angels interview and review the models and talent for
the party all while trying to keep their coveted jobs from being
swept up by envious girls who want to live the “millionaire lifestlye”.
Along the way “Millionaire Jim” and the angels go out and do
charity work in the community by helping the poor and homeless
in San Diego while planning on their next big promotional event.
Upcoming behind the scenes clips include the angels passing
out gift baskets to homless people in San Diego and also casting
swimsuit models for the upcoming 2011 PB Reality swimsuit
modeling calendar.
Jim Lawlor is living the “San Diego dream life”, and the PB Reality
tv show does it’s best to showcase a lifestyle that many would
want to live, even if it does have its share of drama.

Hare Krishna Temple in Pacific Beach Showcases India Culture and Spirituality
A look at the Hare Krishna Temple at 1020 Grand Ave. in Pacific Beach
Pacific Beach San Diego has a host of great things to do on the beach and by the beach. There is a host of beach activities and places to visit including the Hare Krishna Temple, which is located at 1020 Grand Avenue just a few blocks from the beach.
The Hare Krishna Temple provides a real insight into Indian society and culture and the temple area includes a weekly vegetarian ”love feast” in addition to weekly Yoga programs at the Krishna Lounge.
The Sri Jaganatha, Sri Subadra Devi and Sri Balaram Dieties
According the the Krishna Lounge website the Krishna Lounge is
“ a place where we can relax and take a break from the material stresses of life. After a long week of work or school, it is most divine to have a comfortable lounge to unwind and enjoy engaging but relaxing experience.
Despite the Krishna Lounge being completely transcendental, it is physically located in San Diego, Pacific Beach.
The Krishna Lounge has a gathering every Thursday night. Doors open by 7pm. We sing KIRTAN (Yoga Mantras), a form of mantra meditation, eat a lovely vegetarian meal, and take part in spiritually elevating conversations.”

The Hare Krishna Temple itself is open to the public with daily Yoga classes at 7:15AM and an India boutique and gift shop which is open at 5PM to 8PM 7 days a week. The gift shop includes all types of incence, books on spirituality, jewelry and clothing items.
The main temple area features Dieties and daily spiritual programs including a morning Kirtan and Yoga class. “It is as close to get experiencing India culture without having to fly there”, said Brian Harman a weekly Yoga class and Sunday love feast attendee”.

The Sunday love feast program has been going on at the San Diego temple since the 1970’s and features a short Yoga lecture, singing and dancing and also an amazing 5 course vegetarian dinner.
The cost of the dinner is only $5.00 and anyone who volunteers to serve out and help clean up can eat for free.

Albert the Sandman Brings Smiles and Creative Designs
to San Diego Boardwalks and Beaches
Albert the Mission Beach Sandman posed for a photo in Pacific Beach
When it comes to unique characters at San Diego beaches there are not too many that will catch your attention. Places like Venice Beach in Los Angeles have dozens of locals that mix well with the public and do something unique to get the publics attention, but San Diego beaches are much more quiet. That is why people like Albert the “Sandman” are such rare treasures and so much fun to hang out with on weekends when he is out creating cartoons and designs along San Diego boardwalks and parking lots.
I first met Albert 5 years ago and did a story on him….in fact he was in our second edition of SoCal Beaches Magazine, back in the day when we had a printed version of the magazine and I knew that he was the kind of guy that needed some positive promotion for his work.
Alberts creation of a teddy bear along Pacific Beach Drive
Albert loves talking to the public and taking pictures with his sand creations as much as he loves creating them. Wheile I sat and hung out with him in Pacific Beach he got asked at least 5 times for photos with both tourists and locals alike.
Albert is sort of a celebrity along the Mission Beach, Pacific Beach and also know Coronado boardwalks and beaches.
He goes out and creates sand based murals that normally last most of the day and create so much interest that photographers and visitors gather in the spots where creates his designs and publicize his work.
Albert has a direct connection with an Angel and the Angel guides him as to what to draw and how to draw the murals. Not something you run into that often on a trip down the boardwalk.
Albert may now be the
It has always been like that with Albert since the first time I met him and one reason I did the story on him was that many people were not sure what his “trip” was.
When they found out he was a kind soul who just loved creating sand designs and that he spent all of his spare time picking up trash and cigarette butts he became one of the kost popular people in Mission Beach.
Albert now hangs out mainly in Coronado and he is just as happy there creating his sand designs as he was during his days in Mission Beach.
He still gets down to Pacific Beach and Mission Beach once in a while so if you get a chance to say hello, thank him for all the work he has done making people smile, taking photos with kids and families and also cleaning up trash and cigarette butts along the beach.

Albert is a super special person and one that makes San Diego beaches special!!!

2008 OMBAC Longboard Classic Surf Contest
Sept. 21 2008 - The Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach
The 2008 OMBAC Longboard Classic once again provided the excitement
and fun that would remind many older surfers of days gone by.
The event was held just north of The Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach and featured classic surfboards from the 1950’s and 1960’s.
The event also requires that all boards be at least 10 feet long to make it a
real longboarding event.
“This event is one of the best surfing events in San Diego and OMBAC does a great job using this as a way to raise money for local charities”, said Bob Anderson a “PB” local and avid long board surfer.
Classic pre 1970 Longboards at the 2008 OMBAC Surf Classic
The OMBAC surf classic does a great job bringing out the “Endless Summer”
lifestyle and many of the participants are from the era of The Beach Boy’s and longbaords hanging out of the back of a woodie.
It is also nice to see a younger generation of surfers partaking in the event and enjoying the California beaches just as their parents did 25 years before.
The whole term “hang 10″ started when longboard surfers were hanging all ten toes off the front of the board while riding. Not something you see very much anymore with all the new short boards in the water.
The OMBAC Surf Classic is a great event to watch from the pier, the beach or online with our www.pacificbeachsurfcam.com
