Surfer dogs hit the waves of Huntington Beach to help raise money
for quadraplegic surfer Patrick Ivison and 5 other doggie charities
The 1st annual Surf City Surf Dog Contest was a hit as dogs and people lined the beaches and joined in helping to raise money for Patrick Ivison and also a host of other great dog charity groups.
The event which was put on by Book That Event in Costa Mesa took a year and a half of planning to pull off and included a wide range of vendors, surfing dogs, an event walk and a doggie costume contest.
The surfing dogs went out in good surf and with the help of their owners they surfed on some great waves including a 4 dog tandem ride.
“This was a first class event and the staff of Book That Event did an excelent job for not only raising money but also for putting alot of smiles on the faces of the participants and spectators who came out the watch”, said SoCal Beaches Magazine spokesperson Mark Fitzgerald. “We can’t wait until next year”!
