You will always have the traditional<br /> restaurants and places to go to like Georges at the Cove, Jack’s, and The La Valencia Hotel to choose from. One place however is quietly putting themselves on the map and making sure people leave happy and full.</p> <p>Clay’s La Jolla is located on the 11th floor of The Hotel La Jolla and provides spectacular views of La Jolla Shores and sunsets on the ocean. In addition to great views the furnitureis very comfortable and modern and they provide live guitar music to liven up the atmosphere.</p> <p>Clay’s is named after Chef Clay Bordan who is an executive chef and one of the most talented ones in San Diego. Clay has created a happy hour menu that is half price from 4PM to 7PM and he offers some excellent house wines at just $4.00 per glass.</p> <p>“In this day and age Clay’s is a great get-a-way not only for the great food, but also for the great prices”, said Michelle Lee who said she fequents Clay’s twice a week. “When the cost of living increases it is even more important to make the happy hour budget stretch”, she explained “Because the cost here is low I am able to come out twice a week instead of once per week and the sunset views are amazing”.</p> <p>Clay offers some great dishes and many of them are vegetarian and vegan friendly. “The Tofu Experiment”</p> <p>is a must dish for anyone who is vegetarian and looking for some exceelent high end meals designed for people with a vegetarian lifestyle. Clay’s offers a seperate dinner menu just for vegetarians (sometimes you have to ask for it) and every item on there is excellent. The happy hour menu also boasts tofu chow mein, goat cheese, and other vegetarian items.
