Dressing for the summer is often daunting. Summer fashion involves wearing less and showing a lot more. Beach fashion is particularly worrying for this reason. However, there are ways to dress for the beach and hot weather in general whilst flattering your figure.
Firstly it is important not to be tempted by plain black clothing. Although you should aim for flattering clothes, it is also important to keep up with the fashion trends when on the beach. If you are stood in a old fashioned bikini or sarong you will feel frumpy and out of date.
Rich prints are hot this coming season and should be worn on the beach to draw attention to yourself. If you are blessed with a fantastic figure, use bold prints to show off your body. However, if you have problem areas you can still pull off prints, simply combine them with blocks of plain colour. For example, if you have problem thighs wear plain bikini bottoms and draw attention to your top half with a bold print.
The hot colour for summer 2010 is green. Buy yourself a green bikini to ensure you are bang on trend. Alternatively, you could stick to a plain black bikini and instead accessorise with green framed sunglasses, beach bags or jewellery. White is still very much an in colour for the season so if you are brave enough, don a white bikini and hit the beach!
Fashion this summer has a conscience. Many of the hottest designers are producing items that are made using ethical materials and do not harm the environment. Make sure when you are buying your holiday clothes you look out for hot ethical fashion labels. Unlike in the past, ethical clothing no longer revolves around tie dye. Ethical clothing is now fashion conscious.
Many celebrities are already jetting away on holidays and strutting their stuff on the beach. They are wearing some of the key trends for the upcoming season. Cameron Diaz was recently spotted looking gorgeous in a pastel coloured bikini. Pastels are set to be all the rage this summer. If you are feeling conscious in a pastel bikini, draw attention elsewear by wearing a cool hippy style necklace or earrings. In terms of accessories, celebs have been spotted wearing oversized sunglasses and all the signs indicate they will remain in fashion over the upcoming summer. 80s club style accessories will also be big on the beach. Wear plenty of bright prints and neon clothing for a really fashionable effect.
You should also make sure you have a great pair of flip flops as these are a staple summer accessory. The hottest brand around this summer is Havainana. Reef are also a great brand which will be popular on the beach this summer. You can find top name flip flops. You can buy these top brands from Volcom clothing and other websites which stock the latest names.
